Internal Medicine

Internal medicine is the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Our investment in equipment and facilities is a reflection of our commitment to excellence in medical care. Our hospital features four intensive care stalls, multiple outdoor stalls, mare pens, grass paddocks for turnout, and both an indoor and outdoor isolation unit. We are able to hospitalize horses in our temperature regulated, indoor ICU stalls for treatment and around-the-clock video monitoring. Our hospital is equipped with multiple digital radiograph machines, ultrasound machines, endoscopes, a dynamic endoscope, and an in-house laboratory.

With our facilities and equipment, our skilled doctors are able to treat medical colic cases, diagnose gastric ulcers via gastroscopy, evaluate the upper airway at rest or during exercise, perform intensive care for neonates, treat corneal ulcers, assess neurologic conditions, isolate and treat horses with communicable diseases, and more.
