Student Externs

LaSalle Equine Clinic offers two to four week externships for veterinary students between March 1st and September 1st. Our clinic is a general equine practice, providing primary care as well as referral work for local mixed animal practices. Our work schedule is comprised of 60% in hospital and 40% ambulatory cases.

We have recently constructed a new 7,000ft facility with surgical suite and recovery stall, separate outpatient and in-patient exam rooms, radiology, pharmacy, 4 indoor ICU stalls and a covered round pen. We offer Eklin digital radiograhy, Mylab high resolution digital ultasound, gastroscopy and embryo transfer services along with routine reproduction, lameness, medicine, surgery, and preventative medicine.
We are located 15 miles from beautiful Glacier National Park, in Northwest Montana. Students live on-site in a new 23′ new self-contained travel trailer. General health insurance is required.
