Breeding your mare is an exciting opportunity! We have been offering reproductive services in our practice for over 25 years. Breeding requires careful management of a mare’s cycle for both live cover and artificial insemination. We are here to help from ensuring the mare is healthy to breed, artificial insemination, maintaining pregnancy, mare and foal health before and after foaling, and more! 

1. Breeding Soundness Evaluations:
   • Complete Physical Examination including weight, soundness, dental evaluation, CBC and Blood Chemistry
   • Ultrasound assisted rectal examination of the reproductive tract
   • Endometrial Cytology and Culture
   • Endometrial Biopsy
   • Video Uteroscopy
   • Hormonal profiling
2. Artificial insemination with Cooled Transported Semen
3. Artificial insemination with Frozen semen
4. Pregnancy detection via ultrasound as early as 14 days and heartbeat check
5. Management of healthy pregnancy including routine vaccinations and treatment of potential complications
6. Post foaling examinations for both mare and foal including IgG testing and ability to administer plasma if necessary
